Politics is a crazy endeavor!

Four stories I saw today that make me just shake my head for entirely different reasons.

First, Hillary "The Iron Dame" Clinton crying again! First it was her remarkable come back in New Hampshire after the water works, then soon after right before Super Tuesday, and now she is letting those lucky politically charged tears fly again! LINK 

Give us all a break! Since she rode into the national political scene on her husbands coat tails she has been portraited as being strong, much more determined and in control than her husband. But since the first water works miracle she has been more or less willing to tug at the nations heart strings with her disingenuous tears! But, what should we expect from the woman who tolerated the bull shit Bill put her through and may still be for all we know! She is a cold and calculated woman who, as I have said before, will do what ever it takes to win! 

Next, the pimping of Chelsea Clinton.  For years Chelsea was non persona to the press basically. She was to be left alone and that was that, and the press did so. But now the darling of the Clintons is stumping for her mother, what are we supposed to think? Hillary needs a humanizing touch. She has always had a cold, alien and distant feel about her. As mentioned above her tolerance for her husbands behavior is telling as to her goals, she needs Bill to succeed in politics! And that along with her other short comings has made her "The Iron Dame". But now she has her daughter putting a fresh face on her campaign. I have stated my opinions several times on this blog about the remarkable transformation of Chelsea. Miraculous in that it must have been some natural phenomenon in her early 20's that caused her facial features to change, because it certainly wasn't plastic surgery! Anyway, Chelsea is stumping for her mothers campaign. While I would not have chose to call it pimping, because the word pimp has connotations relate to selling ones self, and the daughter of Iron Dame would never do that! Whoring is also not a word I would have chosen, because it is unlikely that Chelsea is being paid for her services. Maybe pimping is the right word? I don't know, I will have to work on this and get back to you. LINK 1 2

Huckabee not giving up. Watching the Huckabee campaign is sort of like watching a movie that wou have already seen three or four times, and half way through the movie there is some sort of accident and a second tier character dies or something or is not seen in the movie again, they move away or something. That is what it is like watching the Huckabee campaign. You know he is not going to win the nomination, but he just doesn't know it yet! LINK

And this leads us to Obama.  British Nobel literature laureate Doris Lessing said in an interview that, if elected President Barak Obama will be assassinated. This is not the first time these sentiments have been in the press and it is depressing! But first I would like to make a comment about Nobel Prize laureates. Because she won some award from Sweden and is British she thinks she understands the US and it's politics, even if they are screwed up? What a terrible thing to say, in print, in an interview! She is 88, so maybe her common sense filters aren't as good as they once were. What if someone said that the last elderly woman to win the Noble Prize for literature would be assassinated? I don't give a rats ass if she won some dippy award, that gives her no right to make such ignorant, inflamatory and basically stupid remarks! Doris, go back to your flat, mansion, estate, where ever you live and shut your damn mouth! There are enough nuts out there, and you just chalked your name onto that list! Congratulations!!  LINK
